After 2 trips to Target and Googling “WHAT TO PACK IN HOSPITAL BAG,” I have come up with this list.

BABY:

~Gloves (so baby doesn’t scratch himself)

~Nail File (in case baby’s nails are really long)

DADDY:

~Button Down Shirts (so daddy can have skin to skin contact w/baby)

~Flip Flops for shower

~Toiletries

EXTRAS:

~Pillows (Colored Pillow cases so they don’t get mixed up with hospital’s pillows)

~Nursing Pillow (MyBrestFriend Nursing Pillow from Target)

~Portable Speaker for music (JBL Portable Speaker from Target)

~Baby book (so nurse can stamp footprint)

~Camera / Video Camera and chargers

~Phone charger

~Birth Plan

~Nursing App to track feedings etc (“Baby Nursing” app its free!)

  1. Also if your not breast feeding might want to pack a extra bottle, even those the hospital provides the little glass bottles with formula in them.. But some babies may not like the hospital bottle nipples.. Also you will need blankets for the baby, like recving blankets and a pacifier if you and your husband choose to give your baby one.. Hope this helps and good luck and congratulations.. Parenthood is the best 🙂

  3. Total TMI, but you’re about to have a baby so I will be honest. Dermoplast and a spray bottle, just in case. I didn’t know I needed it with my first, but am so glad the nurse got me some. I came prepared with my second, but didn’t need it, thank goodness! Blessings to you and your family!
